The Southern California film location that is more than interesting—it's spectacular.

The Ridge Route Ranch is named after the historic Ridge Route Road which connected Northern California and Southern California from 1912 to 1933. This road helped prevent California from being divided into two states.

It took 13 hours to go from Los Angeles to Bakersfield. The average car that traveled the Ridge Route had less horsepower than the average riding lawn mower does today. Speed limit was 15 MPH. The Ridge Route Road had 497 turns, including the original Dead Man’s Curve. It is adjoining the ranch and available for filming on.

The ranch is completely self-sufficient with water since our windmill pumps about 1400 gallons per day and electricity is provided with multiple array of solar panels and a wind turbine.
